ACS Pen and Microneedling

ACS stands for Advanced Cell Stimulation. The ACS-PEN is the first of its kind. This “State-of-the-Art” device is the culmination of the inventor’s 30 years of scientific research and practical experience with micro needles in many respects. It is the latest technique, replacing the eDS, is the Advanced Cell Stimulation pen (ACS). This device will create collagen in the skin at the same remarkable rate as the eDS, but is so advanced, it requires no numbing and no downtime. For patients that can’t afford a few days of pink skin or can’t tolerate the modest discomfort of eDS, this is the best thing on the market where micro-needling is concerned.

The ACS pen is the first of its kind. It is a culmination of the inventor’s scientific research and experience in practice dealing with micro needles. The ACS pen incorporates a new Linear Needle Module that, held perfectly perpendicular to the skin, goes in straight for a better, precise and even penetration.

In contrast to many Dermarollers, the ACS pen is pain-free. Handled correctly, most bleeding is completely eliminated from the treatment. Redness is minimized so dramatically, that if treating for anti-aging, the patient can leave the clinic with nothing more than perhaps a mild flushing. When treating scars or stretch marks, erythema (redness) may be slightly more evident, but still dramatically less than previous options.

The ACS is appropriate for all skin types and most skin concerns, especially related to anti-aging and scar reduction. It is versatile, pain free and comes with almost no downtime at all.

What Is Collagen Induction Therapy?

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), also known as medical skin needling or micro-needling, is a minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as scars on the face and body. The treatment uses tiny needles or micro-needles on a medical-grade roller that is moved over the skin to create tiny, evenly-spaced puncture wounds on the skin. This process stimulates the body’s natural collagen production by generating a wound healing response.

The roller used is much like a fine tattooing needle, so should cause minimal trauma when creating the microscopic punctures in the skin. However, topical local anaesthetic can be used to minimise discomfort. By damaging the skin, you encourage the body to produce new collagen and elastin, which helps it thicken and ‘plump up’. The procedure can be performed on the face and body.

Benefit of Micro-needling (Collagen Induction Therapy)

  • Reduces scars (acne, burn scars, stretch marks)
  • Evens skin pigmentation
  • Erases fine lines
  • Fades deep wrinkles
  • Tightens sagging skin
  • Stretch marks
  • Hair restoration
