Meet Alannah Lane
Alannah is the founder of Avalon Spa & Wellness Centre – established in 1996 – and has over two decades of experience in the health, wellness and beauty professions. Alannah has trained and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Esthetician and as a Licensed Registered Massage Therapist in the province of British Columbia since 1994.
Alannah also had a substantial career in the performing arts as a professional dancer, singer and actress in Europe. She performed in Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals such as Star Light Express and Cats including a wide variety of commercials, television and film.
Alannah has extensive experience in the field of permanent makeup and has completed comprehensive training beginning in 2000 at some of the most well respected permanent makeup centers in North America. This includes her studies with Patricia Shelby at the Canadian Micropigmentation Centre in Toronto, Ontario, The Sally Hayes School of Permanent Makeup in Phoenix, Arizona, Anne Tong’s Tender Touch Beauty School in Richmond, B.C., Danica Saric in Victoria, B.C., Susan Church in Newport Beach, California and Tamara Sachs at NPM Canada.
Alannah works with Vancouver’s top plastic surgeons and doctors, including Dr. Nancy Van Laeken M.D., F.R.C.S.C. , Dr. Andrew Denton, Facial Plastic Surgeon and Dr. Alibhai, performing permanent make up and paramedical tattooing procedures. She has an artistic aptitude to create natural appearing eyebrows with individual hair strokes as well as eyeliner, lip liner and fill. Some of her paramedical procedures consist of camouflage for scars and areola’s for breast reconstruction.
